How a Cosmetic Dentist in Bloomfield Hills Can Help You
September 27, 2016
You’ve been to dozens of business lunches before, but this one is particularly captivating. The person across the table came in dressed to the nines, had handouts ready, and didn’t even have to look at their notes when they spoke. The first thing you noticed, however, was their glistening white teeth. They just capture your attention and make you hang on every word. “Why don’t my teeth look like that,” you think to yourself. They probably have been seeing a cosmetic dentist in Bloomfield Hills, and you can get the same results if you do too.
What Can Cosmetic Dentistry Do For You?
Your teeth may be perfectly health. You brush and floss regularly, and are even trying to cut down on the sugary drinks. You still wish you could do something to make them look better. Regular oral hygiene is a great way to keep your smile beautiful, but it is limited. Cosmetic dentistry focuses solely on the aesthetics of your teeth. Bright white teeth are one of the strongest social signifiers in our society, and we here at Cranbrook Dental Care want to help you put forth the best image you can. We can help you do this in a few ways:
- Teeth Whitening
- Porcelain Veneers
- Invisalign
Teeth Whitening
Years of coffee, wine, tobacco, or age can leave your teeth stained and discolored. Brushing can slow this process down, but it can’t reverse it. We can whiten your teeth with Zoom! Whitening in-office or we can help you do it at home. Zoom! Whitening uses a highly-concentrated bleaching gel activated with a special light to help break down stains and leave teeth brighter than ever. The whole process takes only about an hour. However, you can also come in and we will fit you with a custom mouth tray so you can whiten in the comfort of your own home. After completing the first treatment in-office, you can wear the mouth tray with the bleaching gel for about 30 minutes a night for two weeks in order to fully whiten your teeth.
Porcelain Veneers
Issues such as cracked, chipped, discolored, or obvious gaps between teeth can be addressed with porcelain veneers. Individual procedures intended to fix each issue can be expensive and take a lot of time, so veneers are an efficient and effective way to take care of them all. The veneers are extremely thin ceramic shells that sit on the front of your teeth. They can be installed in as little as two visits, and can last up to 20 years.
Invisalign
People who are concerned with straightening their teeth but do not want the appearance of metal braces can use Invisalign. It uses clear plastic aligner trays to gradually bring your teeth into alignment. The trays are practically invisible when worn, and are also removable, which assures that you can eat and clean your teeth as you would normally.
Is Cosmetic Dentistry Right For Me?
It is just a fact that people with straighter, whiter teeth tend to be more confident and self-assured. While a general dentist can make sure your teeth and gums are healthy, only a cosmetic dentist can assure that your teeth truly look sparkling. A relationship with a cosmetic dentist can help you realize your smile goals to their full potential so you can live your life to the fullest and smile as much as you can. The balance of both health and appearance is what we strive for at Cranbrook Dental Care. If you are curious about what cosmetic dentistry can do for you, please give us a call today.
